Many of the new vehicles that we sell here at Volkswagen of Sioux City come with a roadside assistance package. However, if you find yourself stuck on the side of the road and don't want to wait for help, here are some quick steps to remind you how to change a flat tire.
Make sure that your vehicle is parked on a flat surface before you begin.
Remove the hub cap from the tire so you can loosen the lug nuts.
Place the jack underneath your vehicle and raise it up slowly.
Remove the lug nuts completely and carefully remove the damaged tire.
Swap your damaged tire out for a new one or your spare.
Put the lug nuts back on the tire by hand.
Lower the vehicle back down, and make sure that the lug nuts are tightened properly on the new tire before driving away.
