    1958 Packard Hawk

1958 was the Swan song for the Packard Motor division. In an attempt to hang on for dear life Packard teamed up with Studebaker. The Hawk model was based on a Studebaker Hawk, a two-door hardtop coupe styled car. A number of special extras were included, for example, padded armrest on the outside of the doors, a Continental tire impression stamped on the deck lid, genuine leather interior with sports car type instrument board and full instrumentation, simulated and integrated hood scoops, fender markers and a supercharger pressure gauge and a 275 hp supercharged engine. Our example has been restored to the “nines.”  With a total production of only 588 in 1958 there can’t be too many survivors and surely none nicer. Check out the 50+ pictures online (not sure they do the car justice). It’s just hard to find fault cosmetically or mechanically. Inside, outside. top and bottom no bad news. It drives as good as it looks ….289 Supercharged power mated a three-speed automatic transmission with power windows, power steering, power brakes, twin traction differential, even a working factory radio. Title indicates actual miles. Copy of the window sticker shows it had a MSRP of $4631.49 in 1958 sold at B&G sales in San Bernardino California.
